A Time of Transition
“BUT GOD who began a good work at SPADE in 1987 will continue it by His grace.”
It was with much sadness and regret that the Board of SPADE accepted the resignations of former Directors, Lou and Linda Schimpf in October 2017. Lou and Linda left SPADE last spring when the health of their daughter Aimee began to deteriorate. Aimee lost her battle with cancer June 2017 leaving behind 3 precious children. Lou and Linda felt the immediate need to stay in Georgia to help their son-in-law, Scott, care for their grandchildren. Lou and Linda had been voted in as Directors of SPADE on March 16, 2013 and never dreamed they would have to leave this ministry so soon. They lovingly devoted much time in making many improvements inside and out, brought sheep and chickens to the property, which were enjoyed by all. But above all, they invested in the lives of neighbors and guests of SPADE in ways that will have eternal impact.
WE THANK YOU LOU AND LINDA FOR YOUR SERVICE OF LOVE AND THE IMPACT YOU MADE ON ALL OUR LIVES. YOU ARE GREATLY MISSED.
Our search continues for new directors to step up and continue the work at SPADE. In the meantime, former Directors, Bill and Joan Rinehart are serving as Interim Directors.
